IDIS 183: Career Readiness in Community

This course is designed for students interested in a structured approach to developing career readiness skills alongside a community of peers, whether they are headed for the work world or graduate school upon graduation. Utilizing classroom discussions, activities, readings, and Calvin LifeWork modules, students will finish the course with a stronger understanding of the concept of vocation, an increased ability to articulate their strengths and experiences to potential employers and grad schools and equipped to bridge the gap between classroom learning and application in industry. Course content is applicable to all majors and is intended for sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
