Title: Student Success Advocate (PT)

Position Summary

We are seeking part-time Student Success Advocates to monitor each student assigned to them by regularly contacting and collaborating with the student, their legal guardian, school staff, and all other stakeholders. The Student Success Advocate will develop individualized action plans to help students achieve academic, social, and personal success. This position requires facilitating and instructing youth during out-of-school programs using evidence-based curriculums.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise, guide, and mentor up to 20 students during daily activities.

Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-assessments for youth in a timely and efficient manner.

Deliver program curricula to students with clarity and high quality.

Complete and submit administrative documents, including daily attendance, assessments, incident reports, lesson plans, and other required paperwork, promptly and in an organized manner as specified by the Site Coordinator or Program Director.

Maintain well-organized student files and track student activities.

Attend daily debriefing sessions with the Program Director to receive and provide feedback on the program.

Establish effective communication channels with parents, students, and supervisors.

Participate in relevant training sessions for professional development and in-service hours.

Regularly track grades and record students’ report grades and other pertinent data using agency-provided tools.

Actively engage students by fostering interactive, participatory learning experiences. For example, encouraging discussions, providing hands-on activities, and facilitating group projects.

Actively participate in physical education activities, including fitness and wellness sessions.

Develop lesson plans and activities that are both enjoyable and engaging for students.

Fulfill any additional job-related duties assigned by the supervisor to maximize the agency’s and program’s objectives and goals.

Assist and participate in organizational community events as needed.

Attend parent meetings when deemed necessary.

Maintain a clean, sanitized work area at the beginning and end of each shift, and monitor and maintain all program materials.

Perform any other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge

A high school diploma or GED.

Some college coursework desired, preferably in the education field, or at least 1 year of experience working in youth development.

Must have knowledge of the Florida School system.

Must have or be willing to obtain the 45 Hour Child Care DCF certification

Some experience in working in a childcare setting is desired, but not required.

Schedule: Part-Time

Pay Rate: $19.80/hour
