About the Opportunity

At Ellucian, an internship is more than just checking a box — it’s about learning by doing. Our award-winning internship program gives interns the opportunity to build real skills through hands-on experience, working alongside their teams on meaningful projects that support colleges and universities and ultimately impact students just like you.

Throughout the program, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects, gain exposure to how teams collaborate, and explore your interests as you begin shaping what’s next in your career. You’ll be supported by your manager, dedicated project guides, and a structured mentorship program, as well as a broader intern community designed to help you learn and grow.

Additionally, you will participate in executive Q&A sessions and “day-in-the-life” conversations with intern alumni & leaders across our organization, offering insights into career paths at Ellucian – many of which began through this very program.

Job Overview

As an intern supporting the Journey Delivery Team, you will work alongside delivery leaders, project managers, and consultants who help higher education institutions implement continuing education solutions that directly impact student success. You will be exposed to how projects are planned, tracked, communicated, and governed across
multiple institutions and teams.

You will be given the tools, coaching, and context needed to contribute to meaningful work — not just observe it. Our goal is for you to leave the program with hands-on experience in delivery operations, documentation governance, and cross-team collaboration in a SaaS implementation environment.

This is a high-impact role where your contributions will help ensure delivery processes are organized, consistent, and scalable across multiple projects and customers.

Where you will make an impact

  • Assist the Journey Delivery Team with day-to-day project coordination and
    operational support.
  • Help maintain and update project tracking within Smartsheet to ensure accurate
    status visibility.
  • Support communication across project managers, consultants, and leadership to
    keep projects aligned.
  • Establish, document, and maintain best practices and governance standards to
    ensure consistency across delivery teams.
  • Review project artifacts for completeness, clarity, and adherence to standards.
  • Assist with preparing internal and customer-facing communications and meeting
    materials.
  • Work across multiple projects simultaneously while managing competing
    priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline delivery processes and improve team
    efficiency.
  • Help organize documentation libraries and ensure teams can easily locate the
    information they need.
  • Participate in internal team meetings to understand project lifecycle phases and
    implementation workflows.
  • Assist with reporting and metrics tracking related to delivery performance

What you will bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet (or willingness to learn quickly).
  • Ability to stay organized while working on multiple projects at once.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes.
  • Interest in project delivery, consulting, operations, or SaaS implementation
    environments.
  • Ability to collaborate with different personalities and roles across teams.
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to ask questions and take initiative.
  • Comfort learning new systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Ability to document information clearly and consistently.
  • Strong time-management skills in a deadline-driven environment.
  • The student must be able to work full-time during the internship period.
