In this leadership role, you will manage ore extraction, mobile equipment, and mining activities while driving safety, efficiency, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Oversee daily mining activities, ore extraction, and mobile equipment maintenance.
- Financial Management: Produce and manage the annual capital and operating budgets for the quarries.
- Strategic Planning: Utilize mine planning and AutoCAD software to direct short- and long-term site initiatives.
- Vendor & Contract Relations: Negotiate with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-efficient supply, parts, and services.
- Regulatory & Technical Compliance: Maintain a safe site environment; obtain and hold an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) for drone operations above the mine site.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: B.S. in Mining Engineering, Minerals Engineering, or Geological Engineering.
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in operations, mine planning, and maintenance.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Mine planning software, AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and office systems (IFS).
- Core Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to simultaneously manage multiple initiatives across locations.
Base salary: $120,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience, plus a discretionary bonus based on company performance and individual achievements.
