SUMMARY:
The primary function of this role is to support the Quality Department and the Project Team in
the development and implementation of all quality related procedures and processes; to
improve project quality by recommending correct construction methods to subcontractors and
company personnel prior to installation and during installation; identify substandard work; and
remedy corrective action during construction. The person in this role ensures that all products
and services meet governing codes and project requirements through being an integral part of
the construction process by means of coaching, educating and mentoring.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for promoting a safe working environment and setting an example for field
personnel
• Attend Morning Huddles
• Develop a good working relationship with project team (management and field).
• Assist project team in the collection, tracking and filing the required data to ensure
compliance with governing specifications/Codes.
o Create turnover packages
o Job specific Pre-pour checklist
o Review mix designs
o Conduct pre-pour meetings with the site team and suppliers
o Manage third party testers
o Witness and document all site testing activities
▪ Example – pneumatic, hydrostatic, vacuum, concrete, and compaction
testing
o Weld mapping
o Welder Traceability
o Maintenance logs including:
▪ Rotation Logs
▪ Lubrication Logs
o Storage Logs
• Work with Corporate Quality Managers to answer code and specification related
questions.
• Ensure each project stays within specifications.
• Perform KPA quality audits
• When specifications are not met, work with project team to develop a solution.
• Assist Corporate Quality Manager in the development and implementation of site Quality
Management System (QMS).
• Assist in the execution of concrete repairs per the Quality Manual and applicable Code
• Conduct random audits, as specified by the Corporate Office, for compliance and
adherence to BEC’s Quality Program. Utilize the data collected from these audits to
assist field operations in determining appropriate improvements
• Coordinate and conduct quality training for field staff
o Ex- Consolidation Training, Mix Design Review, Truck Ticket
• Assist Corporate Quality Manager in the development and revision of BEC’s Quality
Program
• Conduct batch plant inspections
• Assist in shop inspections
• Ensure vendors and subcontractors are in compliance with project specifications
• Work with Corporate Quality Manager and/or Site Quality Manager to create and
complete NCR’s
• Submit Quality DBAS

GENERAL GUIDELINES RELATED TO ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Attend End of Shift (EOS)
• Participate in Site team building exercises.
• 4 week look ahead boards to include QA/QC milestones
• Daily presence in the field, preferred 50%+, no less than 10%, special conditions review
with Site Management
• Quality Vision – Zero defects by way or a Quality Management System that Supports
