Position Overview

Are you competitive, driven, and eager to gain real-world business development experience?

InitiativeOne is seeking a Sales & Sponsorship Intern to support sponsorship acquisition for our leadership conferences, events, and community initiatives. This is an opportunity to work directly with executive leadership, develop professional sales skills, and contribute to high-impact events attended by business and community leaders.

This role is ideal for students interested in sales, marketing, business development, entrepreneurship, sports management, communications, or leadership.

What You’ll Do

Research prospective sponsors and strategic partners

Identify decision-makers and key contacts

Conduct outreach through email, phone, LinkedIn, and networking

Assist with sponsorship proposals and partnership presentations

Track opportunities and pipeline activity within CRM systems

Support follow-up and relationship management efforts

Participate in sales and strategy meetings with senior leadership

Contribute ideas to grow sponsorship revenue and partnerships

Previous sales experience is helpful but not required

Comfortable making outbound calls and sending outreach

Strong written communication skills

Willingness to learn and receive coaching

Positive attitude and growth mindset

Desire to build a career in sales, leadership, business development, or entrepreneurship

Sponsorship meetings secured

Qualified opportunities generated

Sponsorship revenue influenced

CRM activity and follow-through

Professional growth and initiative demonstrated throughout the internship
