Job Title: Risk & Finance Analyst – Contract Strategy & Project Margin Protection
MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS OF FINANCIAL ANALYST EXPERIENCE TO APPLY
Location: Cincinnati, OH (1500 Kemper Meadow Drive / Forest Park Area) Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Hours: Typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $70,000 – $85,000 / Year + Lucrative Profitability Bonus & Comprehensive Benefits
The Opportunity: Move Past Basic Bookkeeping
Are you looking for an early career finance or business role where you actually get to influence enterprise strategy, rather than just moving numbers around a spreadsheet in a corner?
Our client is a premier, 50+ year-old industry leader in heavy mechanical construction and industrial infrastructure, headquartered in the Cincinnati metro area. We manage massive, complex projects valued at over $25M+, and we are looking for a hungry, analytically minded Risk Analyst to join our team.
If you want a highly visible seat where you collaborate directly with executive leadership, protect multi-million dollar project margins, and learn the legal, contractual, and financial engine behind a major corporation, this is your launchpad.
What You’ll Actually Do Here (Real Business Impact)
Instead of being siloed in a standard accounting loop, you will sit right at the intersection of Finance, Legal, and Project Operations. You will learn to identify and mitigate risks across active projects from cradle to grave:
Protect Project Margins: Analyze project financial data, monitor change orders, track supply chain disruptions, and flag cost or cash-flow risks before they impact the bottom line.
Master Contract Strategy: Review major owner contracts and vendor agreements. You’ll learn how to identify unfavorable legal terms (warranties, indemnification, liquidated damages) and collaborate with legal counsel on risk mitigation.
Manage Enterprise Insurance: Partner with national brokers to coordinate multi-million dollar insurance placements (Builders Risk, General Liability, Workers’ Comp) and analyze loss history.
Executive-Level Reporting: Build risk dashboards and directly present your financial findings and early warning indicators to senior management and executive leadership.
Why This is the Ultimate First “Career” Seat
Century-Old Stability + Real Rewards: Benefit from the backing of a company that has thrived for over 50 years. On top of a competitive base salary, you will participate in a highly lucrative profitability bonus plan tied directly to our success.
Fast-Track Advancement: This role is explicitly built for upward mobility. You will receive direct mentorship from corporate leadership, putting you on a fast track toward senior corporate risk, project controls, or finance management roles.
High Visibility: You aren’t just an employee ID number. You will routinely present your findings straight to executive leadership, gaining elite professional exposure early in your career.
Who You Are
We are looking for sharp, driven professionals who are passionate about the business side of major operations. You will be a great fit if:
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relevant analytical field.
You bring a strong foundation or a deep interest in finance, corporate risk, contract analysis, or insurance frameworks (prior co-op or internship and 2+ years of entry-level experience is excellent).
You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and have an eye for identifying data trends and early warning indicators.
You are an elite communicator who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable presenting findings to corporate executives.
Ready for a change of scenery: You are excited to launch a career in the vibrant Greater Cincinnati area and are fully ready to relocate for a 100% on-site, corporate career track.
